Dr. Chelsea Layden-Power, D.C.

Doctor of Chiropractic

I grew up figure skating in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta where I was the oldest of four children. I was able to further develop my skating skills when I became a hockey player while attending school at the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox Saskatchewan. I absolutely loved and embraced the team atmosphere there. In high school I began working for two chiropractors. I loved what they did and set out to pursue chiropractic school first by attending the University of Regina, and then Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. After completing my Doctor of Chiropractic I moved to Lethbridge to begin my practice; excited to be back in Alberta!

I enjoy reading, cycling, gluten-free baking and walking in the coulees. My life was further blessed in 2011 when I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl Jacey, 100% naturally at home. Chiropractic is not my job, it is truly my lifestyle. Each day in the clinic is not going to work but spending time in service to my community through teaching and building relationships with my patients. My patients are an extension of my family.

John Power

RMT, ART Provider

Hailing from Manitoba, I am the younger of two children. After attending high school at the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, I went on to attend university and play NCAA hockey and golf at Bemidji State in Bemidji, Minnesota. I got jazzed about ART when I was treated for back pain by Dr. Jayson Shephard in Calgary, Alberta. After experiencing ART firsthand I thought, “I want to do that.” So I set out to do it.

I am fortunate to enjoy skiing, biking, and yoga as a regular part of my life and love hanging out with my dogs, cooking, and a good glass of wine. I am the proud father of a beautiful girl, Jacey, and treasure watching her grow and learn. Chiropractic is my way of life. The idea that health and happiness flow from the inside out is a beautiful thing.

I initially started my Chiropractic journey at Power Health when I was just a teenager. I suffered multiple concussions and the side effects were severe enough that I could not participate in normal daily activities. I started chiropractic with Dr. Chelsea and ART (Active Release Technique) with John, and my life was given back to me. I was able to focus more clearly, get back to playing sports, and get back to my day-to-day life.

Now as a team member at Power Health for 10 years, I have been blessed to see how chiropractic impacts my life in many other ways, from boosting my immune system, feeling more energized, and having fewer sick days. My overall health has improved significantly. Chiropractic care is so much more than just back pain, or in my case concussion symptoms, it allows me to express my full life’s potential, and lets me live my best life every single day.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. Now I'd like to get to know you because at Power Health we are a community, and we are always taking new patients!!

Much love to you,

Brittany Wilson
